We call them Storm Lanterns, others call them Hurricane Lanterns, but honestly, do not feel uncomfortable if you use them in a light breeze…or even, goodness gracious, indoors. Our Gusto has a turned wooden base, with cool concave steps. Available in three sizes from smallish to look at me, I’m so big. And two colour finishes.
The natural whitewash finish is exactly what I wanted—it adds a rustic charm without being too heavy. Works beautifully on my dining table with a regular candle inside, even feels safe indoors.
The turned wood base on this storm lantern gives it a surprising amount of weight, so it feels sturdy even when I move it around indoors. It’s such a simple design, but the natural whitewash finish catches the candlelight beautifully.
The glass is nice and thick, feels sturdy, and the natural whitewash finish looks great on our porch. Only wish the handle was a tiny bit taller for easier carrying, but it’s a solid lantern overall.
