Bokhara, un disegno intricato e vibrante che attinge alla ricca storia dell'antica Via della Seta. Ispirato ai lussureggianti tessuti delle oasi desertiche di Bukhara, Samarcanda e Kashgar del XIX secolo, questo motivo fu introdotto per la prima volta nell'archivio GP&J Baker nel 1906.
The blush tone shifts subtly in different light, and the gathered Bokhara pattern feels almost like a miniature tapestry when lit from within. It's transformed my plain reading corner into something far more exotic, and the stitching on the binding is impressively neat.
The linen has a lovely weight to it and the blush base really makes the Bokhara pattern feel softer than photos suggest. I hung it over our dining table and the light glows through the gathered fabric beautifully in the evenings.
The blush ground tones down the busy Silk Road pattern beautifully, so it reads as elegant rather than loud in my living room. The 25cm gather sits perfectly over my table lamp, and the linen texture catches the light in a way that photos honestly don't capture.
