The glass is thick and feels sturdy, so even though I mostly light it inside by the window, it looks like it could handle a real gust. The finish on the ebony is a smooth matte that catches the candlelight nicely at dusk.
The turned base gives it a nice weight that keeps it steady on our porch table, even when the wind picks up a bit. I've burned it indoors too on a rainy evening and the glow is just warm and cozy without being overpowering.
Honestly, I bought this for the patio but it's so handsome I keep it on the dining table now. The ebony finish is really rich and the turned details catch the candlelight beautifully.
