Bokhara, een verfijnd en levendig ontwerp dat put uit de rijke geschiedenis van de oude Zijderoute. Geïnspireerd door de weelderige textiel van de woestijnoases van Buchara, Samarkand en Kashgar in de 19e eeuw, werd dit patroon voor het eerst geïntroduceerd in het GP&J Baker-archief in 1906.
The pattern is so intricate and vibrant that it instantly dresses up a plain room—keeps catching my eye every time I walk past. The 16cm size fits my bedside lamp perfectly and the gathered linen gives it a soft, tailored look.
The linen has a lovely, almost textured feel to it, and that vibrant pattern transforms the whole corner of my room once the lamp is switched on. I was worried it might look too busy, but the gathered shade gives it a soft, elegant drape that feels really high-end.
The pattern detail really pops once it’s over a bulb—those rich Silk Road colors shift nicely in the light. I put it on a small bedside lamp and the 16cm size is perfect, not too bulky but it makes the whole corner feel warmer.
