Bokhara, een verfijnd en levendig ontwerp dat put uit de rijke geschiedenis van de oude Zijderoute. Geïnspireerd door de weelderige textiel van de woestijnoases van Buchara, Samarkand en Kashgar in de 19e eeuw, werd dit patroon voor het eerst geïntroduceerd in het GP&J Baker-archief in 1906.
The blush tone shifts subtly in different light, and the gathered Bokhara pattern feels almost like a miniature tapestry when lit from within. It's transformed my plain reading corner into something far more exotic, and the stitching on the binding is impressively neat.
The linen has a lovely weight to it and the blush base really makes the Bokhara pattern feel softer than photos suggest. I hung it over our dining table and the light glows through the gathered fabric beautifully in the evenings.
The blush ground tones down the busy Silk Road pattern beautifully, so it reads as elegant rather than loud in my living room. The 25cm gather sits perfectly over my table lamp, and the linen texture catches the light in a way that photos honestly don't capture.
