Dotty is a true testament to GP&J Baker’s expansive and eclectic archive and takes it’s cue from an 1810 vesting pattern. Dotty’s long history stretches back to ancient India where it first emerged as a symbol of life and prosperity. Now updated in a range of delicious and complementary colourways.
Lined the hallway ceiling light with it and the 30cm diameter is absolutely perfect for the space. The gathered cotton fabric catches the light so beautifully that the dot pattern seems to shift as you walk past.
The biscuit tone is even richer in person than on screen, and the gathered cotton drapes beautifully over the shade ring. It’s made my whole reading corner feel warmer, and I keep catching myself staring at that little dot print.
The dot pattern is so crisp and evenly spaced that it looks almost hand-printed, and the cotton has a lovely, soft texture that catches the light just right when the lamp's on. I keep catching myself admiring how the biscot shade ties together the whole corner of the room.
