The glass is thick and sturdy, so I don't worry about it tipping over on my porch when the wind picks up. It's a nice, warm glow that feels cozy even indoors, which is where I mostly use it now.
The turned wood base gives it a warm, grounded feel that balances the glass perfectly, and it's solid enough that a real gust won't tip it over. I've got mine on the porch railing and the whitewash catches the late afternoon light beautifully, even when the candle isn't lit yet.
